St Andrew Memorial is always looking for ways to fulfil our mission of reaching out to service to all.

Some of the outreach activities at the parish include:

  • The Mitten TreeEach fall we collect hats, mittens and scarves. These donations are taken to the Fellowship Centre and the Daily Bread Food Bank at St Paul’s Cathedral in London and distributed to those that need warm clothing for the winter
  • Eat Simply so others may Simply EatOur Lenten outreach program invites parishioners to make a daily decision surrounding their food; to have a little less, or to go without that second cup of coffee. The money saved is then collected and used to support the St Andrew Memorial Community Breakfast programk.

This past year we raised almost $630 through saving nickels, dimes and quarters. These funds collected directly support our Community Breakfast program which provides 40-60 hot meals on the last Saturday of each month.

  • Flower deliveryEach week after the morning services the altar flowers are delivered to past members who no longer able to make it to church on Sunday mornings reminding them that they are forever in our hearts.
  • Paper drivesToilet paper is collected twice a year where hundreds of rolls are taking to the Daily Bread Food Bank to help assist those in need with their most basic and often overlooked needs.
  • Toiletries SundayOnce a year we collect toiletries, tooth paste, soap, shampoo and other necessities for the Daily Bread Food Bank. These items go a long way in helping to support those in needs.
  • Community Garage SaleThe first Saturday in June we hold our annual garage sale at the parish and organize a street garage sale. We take on all the advertising in helping our neighbours have the most successful garage sale.
  • Senior’s Home ServicesThe rector is always happy to meet with parishioners for a variety of reasons in their homes. This can be simply a friendly visit to a pastoral need or for the rector to bring communion to a shut-in.
